Late December, 2010, the idea of Restoration Community Church began at a small dinner party with friends who dared to dream what God might be asking us to do. With a clear sense that God was directing, we met the following week to seriously discuss planting a church in Raleigh. A few more friends joined us to talk and pray. Without a doubt, the Spirit was leading. We held our first worship service on January 16th, 2011 and we have been worshiping together, as Restoration Community Church, ever since. Today, we are a thriving community of believers, excited about discovering all that God has prepared in advance for us to do.
What’s with a name like “Restoration”?
We are all born with broken hearts into a broken world. Sooner or later we learn not to trust others or even the impulses of our own hearts. But God is in the business of restoration. He heals our broken hearts and teaches us how to love. And then as we stand together in Him, He helps us to help others find the restoration they need.
Come and be part of our family this Sunday at 10 AM. You won’t be met with guilt, shame or condemnation. Our church is a place where you’ll find mercy, grace and forgiveness.
What to expect?
No matter what you look like, how you vote, or what you believe about God, you will feel welcome at RCC. You can expect:
– A comfortable, casual atmosphere
– Multiple musical styles and songs that lead people to encounter Jesus
– God’s timeless Word presented in fresh and relevant terms
– A welcoming and embracing family
– An atmosphere of hopefulness for broken people
The love of God transcends all successes and endures all failures. Therefore we are a church of second chances…and third…and fourth…and fifth…because we worship a God whose love knows no end.
